He has designed for Universal Studios, Opryland, and Fiesta Texas, bringing together his technology experience with award-winning lighting.

He has designed for musical theater, opera, dance, and theater companies across the United States. Scott is also the co-founder of Applause Academy Children’s Theater, where he was the Technical Director and Lighting Designer for this state-of-the-art facility.  Mr. Stipetic spent 23 years with Barbizon Light of New England as their Sr. Systems Integrator, designing the stage lighting and rigging systems for universities, high schools, middle schools, and elementary school theaters across New England.

Scott's Favorite Things:
What is your favorite lighting gear? I enjoy programming on the ETC Element 2 console. With the addition of the Magic Sheet, Color Picker and touch screens, creating cues is fast and fun. It does take time to initially set up, but the long term payoff is worth it. The same holds true for the ION console, if you have moving lights in your venue.
What is your favorite gel color? For more traditional designs I like Rosco 74 for night blue, coupled with R364 using a breakup pattern for moonlight blue...but with the advancement of LED lighting for the stage, a new world of design opportunities has been opened for this generation of designers.
Where did you go to school? Carnegie Mellon University, for my BFA in Production,
The University of Wisconsin, Madison, MFA in Theatre Lighting.
ETCP-certified Theater Rigger and a past IES member.
